The course will cover basic elements of Bayesian statistics, contrasting briefly with classical (frequentist) statistics, and introduce available statistical packages. The second part of the course is a hands-on workshop where participants will be led through a series of exercises using the free Markov Chain Monte Carlo package WinBUGS.
