This course will cover steps and decisions to calibrate a mathematical model with an overview of when calibration is necessary and introduce a general model calibration framework. An extensive hands-on exercise will implement a simple mathematical model calibration in R using different calibration algorithms. Participation in the hands-on exercise requires a laptop with R and RStudio installed.
