It is important to elicit from patient their preferences for a good or service, and in particular, in their healthcare options. Choice-based conjoint analysis is one method to assess specific new products or services in healthcare because it can assess a hypothetical choice patients may make given specific attributes. The analysis helps to quantify preferences of certain product or service attributes, and the effect of these attributes on the patients’ choice. At the completion of this online learning module, you will be able to: • Describe the purpose and use of choice-based conjoint analysis • Describe the basic foundation and principles of the discrete choice experiment (DCE) as a method for choice-based conjoint analysis • Apply the ISPOR Task Force Checklist for conducting, reporting, and critiquing DCE studies The access period once enrolled into the course is 30 days from the date of purchase.
