Unlocking the Power of Real-World Evidence introduces learners to how real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) are transforming health care decision-making. Through seven concise sections, the course explores the strengths and limitations of clinical trials and RWD sources, the role of physician-led chart abstraction, and methods to replicate trial outcomes in real-world research. Learners will also examine innovative approaches such as external control arms and digital twins, while considering how human behavior and clinical context influence both care and evidence generation. By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Differentiate between clinical trial data and real-world data (RWD), describing the strengths and limitations of each in generating real-world evidence (RWE).

Explain the role of physician-led chart abstraction and its contribution to real-world evidence generation.
