Course Information

  • Developing Algorithms for Identifying Lines of Therapy (LOT) in Oncology Using Real-World Data (RWD)

Gain a deeper understanding of how to select appropriate data sources depending on the research question, how to properly set up study cohorts, how to identify the first and subsequent LOT, how to estimate when the next line of treatment needs to be initiated, various decision points given the tumor type, and how to generate LOT visualizations.

After the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Describe the importance of accurately defining lines of therapy (LOT) in observational cancer research.
    • Identify the necessary components of a LOT algorithm.
    • Explain the step-by-step process for developing and validating LOT algorithms.
    • Describe best practices for LOT algorithm development for a specific cancer type.
    • Develop a simple LOT algorithm using synthetic real-world data and provided SAS code.

The access period once enrolled into the course is 60 days from the date of purchase. After this duration, you will need to re-enroll if you wish to re-enter the course.

Time to complete – approximately 4-6 hours
