  • Systematic reviews are important for evidence-based medicine, which is the “conscientious and judicious use of current best evidence from clinical care research in the management of patients”, according to the institute of medicine.
     
    At the completion of this online learning module, you will be able to:
    • Understand how to perform and how to critically appraise systemic reviews and meta-analyses
    • Describe the pros and cons of using systemic reviews and meta-analyses to inform healthcare policy and practice decisions
    • Describe how systemic reviews and meta-analyses are used for drug development and commercialization activities by industry
