Budget Impact Analysis (BIA)
One of 5 microcourses in the What is HEOR? series, this course provides a basic understanding how budget impact analysis is used to understand the impact of a new therapy or intervention, and sometimes the impact on utilization, of an existing therapy or intervention as a result of that introduction.
In this microcourse, you will learn more about the elements of budget impact analysis, principles of a good design for budget impact analysis, and about the ISPOR Guidelines for budget impact analysis.
After the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the elements of budget impact analysis.
- Describe principles of a good design for budget impact analysis.
- Describe the budget impact design process.
- Follow the ISPOR Guidelines for budget impact analysis.
The access period once enrolled into the course is 30 days from the date of purchase. After this duration, you will need to re-enroll if you wish to re-enter the course. Time to complete – approximately 1 hour
