  • Budget Impact Analysis (BIA)

    One of 5 microcourses in the What is HEOR? series, this course provides a basic understanding how budget impact analysis is used to understand the impact of a new therapy or intervention, and sometimes the impact on utilization, of an existing therapy or intervention as a result of that introduction.

    In this microcourse, you will learn more about the elements of budget impact analysis, principles of a good design for budget impact analysis, and about the ISPOR Guidelines for budget impact analysis.

    After the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Describe the elements of budget impact analysis.
    • Describe principles of a good design for budget impact analysis.
    • Describe the budget impact design process.
    • Follow the ISPOR Guidelines for budget impact analysis.
