  • Patients are the central focus of healthcare. When we collect from the patient their perceptions about disease and treatment results, we can better evaluate the real-world impacts of medicine.

    At the completion of this online learning module, you will be able to:
    • Define and explain what patient-reported outcomes (PRO) are
    • Describe the purpose of PRO instruments
    • List the various types of PRO instruments
    • Understand how PRO instruments are developed
    • Identify the challenges involved in developing a new PRO instrument
