Executive Interview Preparation: Mindset, Messaging, and Leadership Presence

Preparing for an interview involves more than rehearsing answers—it requires understanding how to communicate your value, connect your experience to organizational needs, and confidently navigate challenging conversations. In this course, learners will explore practical strategies for approaching interviews with a partnership mindset, developing a compelling professional narrative, responding effectively to difficult questions, and using examples to demonstrate their experience and impact. Designed for HEOR professionals across career stages, the course emphasizes translating technical expertise into meaningful business and healthcare outcomes. Through reflection activities, guided exercises, and practice opportunities, learners will strengthen their ability to communicate how their work informs decisions, supports stakeholders, and contributes to real-world impact.

After the completion of this course participants will be able to:

    • Reframe interviews as professional partnership conversations rather than performance-based evaluations to improve confidence and reduce interview-related stress.
    • Develop and deliver a concise professional introduction that clearly communicates their background, experience, and value proposition for a target role.
    • Identify and prepare responses to personally challenging interview questions using strategies that promote clarity, professionalism, and authenticity.
    • Construct and apply structured examples using interview frameworks to demonstrate experience, leadership, problem-solving, and impact across a variety of interview questions.
    • Formulate strategic interview questions that help evaluate organizational fit, uncover role expectations, and facilitate meaningful two-way conversations with interviewers.
    • Communicate the relevance and impact of HEOR work by explaining how evidence, analyses, and insights support real-world decisions and stakeholder needs.
